SLES, this "all-rounder" in the cleaning world, consists of a polyoxyethylene chain, a sulfate group, and sodium ions, with the chemical formula R(OCH₂CH₂)ₙOSO₃Na (R is a 12-carbon alkyl chain).

It is a pale yellow viscous liquid or white gel that dissolves upon contact with water. It has strong detergency; adding a little salt (2%-5% sodium chloride) will thicken the foam. Trace amounts of dioxane may remain during production (≤30ppm, meeting national standards), but current processes ensure safety.

Uses (specific applications in daily chemical and other fields): A great partner for hair care, used in shampoos and shower gels; it is also used industrially to treat textiles and leather, truly a versatile product!
