1. As a solvent and reaction aid

Organic synthesis solvent: Monoethanolamine is often used as a solvent in organic synthesis to help dissolve, react and separate compounds.

Detergents, emulsifiers: Monoethanolamine can be used directly as a surfactant, or synthesized with a variety of acids to synthesize other surfactants (such as alkanolamide, triethanolamine dodecylbenzenesulfonate, etc.), used to make detergents, emulsifiers, etc.

Lubricants: It is also used in lubricant manufacturing.

Decarbonization and desulfurization: In industrial processes such as petrochemicals, natural gas processing, and oil refining, monoethanolamine is used in decarbonization, desulfurization and other reactions to effectively remove acidic components in the gas (such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, etc.).

Polyurethane industry: It is used as a catalyst and cross-linking agent to promote the synthesis and performance improvement of polyurethane materials.
