Calcium Chloride

1. Used for road antifreeze, maintenance and dust control: Calcium chloride is the best road snow melting agent, antifreeze agent and dust control agent, and it also has a good maintenance effect on the road surface and roadbed.

2. Used in oil drilling: Calcium chloride solution has a high density and contains a large amount of calcium ions. Therefore, as a drilling additive, it can play a role in lubrication and facilitate the removal of drilling mud. In addition, calcium chloride can be mixed with other substances as a well sealing fluid in oil extraction. These mixtures form a plug at the wellhead and can work for a long time.

3. Used in the industrial field:
(1) It is used as a multi-purpose desiccant, such as for drying gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, and sulfur dioxide.
(2) It is used as a dehydrating agent in the production of alcohols, esters, ethers, and acrylic resins.
(3) Calcium chloride solution is an important refrigerant for refrigerators and ice making. It can accelerate the hardening of concrete and increase the cold resistance of building mortar. It is an excellent building antifreeze agent.
(4) It is used as a defogging agent in ports, a dust collector on the road, and a fire retardant for fabrics.
(5) It is used as a protective agent and refining agent in aluminum and magnesium metallurgy.
(6) It is a precipitant for the production of color lake pigments.
(7) It is used for deinking in waste paper processing.
(8) It is a raw material for the production of calcium salts.

4. Used in the mining industry: Calcium chloride is mainly used to produce a surfactant solution, which is sprayed on tunnels and mines to control the amount of dust and reduce the danger of mine operations. In addition, calcium chloride solution can be sprayed on open-air coal seams to prevent them from freezing.

5. Used in the food industry: Calcium chloride can be used as an additive, added to drinking water or beverages to increase the mineral content and as a flavoring agent. It can also be used as a refrigerant and preservative for quick freezing of food.

6. Used in agriculture: Spray wheat and fruit with a certain concentration of calcium chloride solution for long-term preservation. In addition, calcium chloride can also be used as a livestock feed additive.
