2. Applications in Petroleum Extraction
Polyacrylamide is a multifunctional oilfield chemical agent used in petroleum drilling and extraction processes, primarily serving as an oil displacement agent and a drilling mud modifier.
3. Papermaking Industry
In papermaking, polyacrylamide functions as a retention aid, drainage aid, and formation aid. It aims to improve paper quality, enhance pulp dewatering performance, increase the retention rate of fines and fillers, and reduce raw material consumption and environmental pollution; additionally, it acts as a dispersant to improve paper uniformity.
4. Other Industries
Applications extend to synthetic resin coatings, water-blocking grouting materials for civil engineering, the building materials industry (improving cement quality), construction adhesives, joint sealants and water-blocking agents, soil conditioning, the electroplating industry, and the textile printing and dyeing industry.
